Golf Ace is not a Golfing game the way you would expect. The objective of the game is to hit as many hole in ones as possible by clicking the mouse button while the little bulls-eye is green. If it is green it is a hit, if it is red it is a miss, plain and simple.
The objective is to hit as many holes in one within the time limit, in order to reach the highest score possible. The game is fun to play, and feels more like a shooter than a golfing game. The graphics are adequate, but nothing fancy, and the same goes for the sound effects. Still the game is fun to play and because a round only takes a short while it is perfectly suitable for short gaming periods.
While not really a true Golfing game in the proper sense of the word, Golf Ace definitely is a game to train your reflexes and improve upon your hand to eye coordination, while sinking the balls in the holes.
Golf Ace could best be described as a time limit shooter, disguised in a Golf theme, but still a lot of fun to play for a short while. Golf Ace can only be played by one player at a time so in order to compete with friends one would have to take turns, and compete on high scores.
